Wear the bandage all night.
In the morning, take bandage off and wash gently with soap and water in shower.
Keep shower to a maximum of five minutes using only your hand and a mild antibacterial soap.
Let air dry all day long.
For
the second and third night, apply a thin layer of aquaphor to tattoo,
and bandage with saran wrap and the tape of your choice.
Remove bandage and wash tattoo the next morning, allowing the tattoo to air dry all day long.
After the third night of bandaging you may use a thin layer of fragrance free, color free hand lotion during the day.
You will no longer need to bandage.
Continue to apply lotion daily for the next 3 to 4 weeks
Scabbing can be part of the healing process. Do not pick or scratch scabs. They will fall off naturally.
Also,
avoid fully submerging you tattoo in water. Showering and washing your
tattoo is fine, but anything that makes the light scabs fall off
before they are ready, will pull out the tattoo and most likely leave
scar tissue behind.
No bathtubs, beaches, pools, or Jacuzzis for the first 3 to 4 weeks.
During the healing process avoid long exposure to the sun. No tanning and no beaches for 90 days
